The M-Audio Formerly Midiman Midisport 2×2 is a usb-midi interface with two sets of midi inputs and midi outputs. I will call tomorrow and speak to M-Audio folks and report back Maybe I’ll try and hook it up one last time just to see Thanks for taking the time to help though – it is appreciated. It’s not Sonar it’s m Audio. There is a midi thru switch on the device that, if accidentally pressed, will disable some of the midi data transfer to the computer.

The chipset drivers are the drivers for the northbridge, southbridge and often some peripherals on your motherboard. Hi, Can anyone tell me where to find the driver for the midisport 2×2 silver one. So please refrain from implying I do not know what I am doing. I finally downloaded the xo zip file from the Midiman site to a floppy, then read the installation instructions.
So that’s what it midispoort. For those looking for a small midi interface to complete a sound card that has no Midi inputs and outputs, it’s a great plan.

Problem is a lot of people don’t have time to read the instructions and then wonder why it doesn’t work. But – no go. So perhaps it is a HW thing-but,jeezz, it has no movable parts except for the button.
Dave, I am using Windows bit. I suspect hardware on my end since I have tried a few driver versions. I have cleaned the register thouroghly. Essentials Only Full Version.

midispprt But I can’t even get the Editor to connect or recognize the Axe. Hawky I wonder what is so “special” about installing this thing? I had to stop using them when I upgraded to Windows 7 bit because there wasn’t bit drivers available so I bought a Cakewalk UM-3G which has bit drivers. Today I am running 64bit Cubase 5. Also, I did download the driver from the M-Audio site. My production box is still running at 32bit and runs the midisport fine.
It is pretty bullet proof and you can see exactly what comes over the wire. Does the LED light when you connect it? It has been a few years my interface for concerts.
