Some have had success with changing there USB controller. We had the same problem with Windows XP. The driver is now more robust when the sample rate changes during audio playback or recording.

But still, go firewire since ya dont have pci option. The fact is my onboard sound card practically gives no problems during audio when I used that, so why should my emu usb interface use so much cpu up etc? If I don’t get this working I will have to vieta a Lanceindastudio suggests and by a new audio interface. Should I just give up, or is there always a way round this?
